Our babies are our babies no matter how old they grow. This mama asked me to document her baby on the eve of taking her to the other side of the country for college. Their loving, playful and trusting relationship is one I hope to have with my own daughter. As parents we spend so much time protecting and caring for our littles with the very intention of nurturing their own individual beings and supporting them to go out into this great big world to begin their own adventures. But that doesn’t make the transition easy. And honoring this time, this fragile space of wanting to hold on forever and also let go, with fun and bright images is just the perfect way to do it.
